Definition

the horizontal bar at the top of a window that contains the application program’s icon and name at the left, the name of the open file (if appropriate), and to the right, the trio of window control buttons (MINIMIZE, RESTORE [or full-screen], and CLOSE). In Windows,clicking on the application program’s icon will pop up a menu to control the window.
