Definition
A real-valued function Q defined on R^n by an equation of the type Q(x) = sum_(i=1 to n) sum_(j=1 to n) [(a_ij)(x_i)(x_j)], where x=(x_1,...,x_n) and the a_ij are real is called a quadratic form.
