Definition
A Lie algebra V is a real vector space together with a law of composition VxV -> V denoted by v,w -> [v,w] and called the bracket, which satisfies these axioms for all u,v,w in V and all c in R: bilinearity, skew symmetry, and the Jacobi identity.
