Definition

An isomorphism f:G -> G' from a group G to a group G' is a bijective group homomorphism - a bijective map such that f(ab)=f(a)f(b) for all a and b in G.

Example

The exponential map e^x is an isomorphism, when it is viewed as a map from the additive group R,+ to its image, the multiplicative group of positive real numbers.
