Definition

A sequence is a set, ordered by the non-negative integers. There is a first member a_0, a second, a_1, and so on. More theoretically a sequence is just a function from the non-negative integers to some set.

Example

The sequence of prime numbers is 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, ...
