Parent-offspring conflict Sign Video

Definition
The situation arising when the optimum level of parental investment in a particular offspring differs from the viewpoints of the parent and that offspring. This conflict derives from the fact that offspring are genetically equivalent from the point of view of their parents, but siblings carry identical copies of only half of one another's genes.
