Programs that enable users to manipulate and enhance bitmapped images, such as those created by scanners or digital cameras.Typical program features include color management, artistic effects, masking tools, and the capability to open and save in a variety of graphics file formats. Some image-editing programs (such as CorelDRAW and GIMP) also include vector graphics capabilities. Leading programs include Adobe PhotoShop, CorelDRAW,GIMP, Microsoft PhotoDraw, and Paint Shop Pro.
