Standard Temperature &Pressure

  • Definition: (Stp) An arbitrary standard for measuring, for example, gas volumes, where the temperature is defined as 0 C (273.15 K) and the pressure is defined as 1 atm (101 325 Pa). The molar volume of an ideal gas at STP is 22.4 dm3 mol-1.
