Countable Set

Definition: A countable set is one that can be put in onetoone correspondence with the counting numbers 1,2,3,... Another way to put it is that a countable set can be ordered into a sequence.

Example: The integers are countable 0, 1, 1, 2, 2, ... In a more complicated way the rational numbers are countable.
